Education to provide knowledge about the body in a simple way, aimed at the general public

The Fascia Guide is an educational project aimed at providing knowledge about the body in an accessible manner. This leads to people becoming better at taking care of themselves, resulting in more secure, happier, healthier individuals, empowering their own lives and health.

Currently, a global revolution is underway in anatomical research, fundamentally changing our view of the human body. It involves fascia, a network of connective tissue without beginning or end, enveloping everything in the body, from muscles and bones to organs and cells. Fascia was recognized in 2017 as the body’s largest organ and has a much greater significance for health, aches, and pain than previously thought. This new insight has sparked a wildfire of discoveries that are beginning to challenge our conventional perceptions of the human body.

The unique approach of the public education project has proven internationally viable and has been recognized by both researchers and laypeople for its ability to link understanding of the body with human perspectives and societal challenges.

Life Force Innovation supports the public education project to ensure its future and contribute to the national and international dissemination of knowledge that makes a difference in people’s lives.

We intend to allocate about 3 000 000 SEK per year for this purpose.

The Fascia Guide

The Fascia Guide is a website and podcast about how new research is changing the view of health, aches, and pain based on the understanding of the living body, presented in a simple and engaging way.

By combining science, philosophy, and the history of ideas with the experiential, practical, and personal, it explores:

  • What it means to see the body based on an understanding of the whole rather than in terms of parts.
  • What happens when we no longer draw a line between the internal and external world, between the subjective and the objective, or between thoughts, feelings, and physical impacts.
  • How we apply new knowledge about the body in our everyday lives.
